Stitchworks, including subsidiaries and affiliates including Quiltique (“Stitchworks” or “Website” or “Website Owner” or “we” or “us” or “our”) provides the information contained on this website or any of the pages comprising the website (“website”) to visitors (“visitors”) (cumulatively referred to as “you” or “your” hereinafter) subject to the terms and conditions set out in these website terms and conditions, the privacy policy and any other relevant terms and conditions, policies and notices which may be applicable to a specific section or module of this website. top

Customer Agreement

An agreement exists between you and Stitchworks once Stitchworks accepts an order or Stitchworks receives the order and does not reject it within fourteen days. top

Stitchworks has been operating in New Zealand since 1980 and currently supplies quilting services and associated quilting products directly and indirectly to many customers and organizations throughout New Zealand. In that time Stitchworks has built up a reputation for reliable, prompt and honest service.  We pride ourselves in maintaining this credibility, and assure you we supply a high quality, well proven service and products. top

Customer Information

You warrant that all information and data provided by you is accurate, complete and up to date. You must promptly inform Stitchworks if there is a change to this information or data.

You are responsible for any costs associated with accessing the Stitchworks web site and placing an order for goods with Stitchworks, including any Internet provider fees.

In order to purchase goods from Stitchworks, the delivery address which you nominate must be correct. Please ensure that your delivery address and suburb are correct, as Stitchworks will not be liable for orders delivered to incorrect addresses. top

Ordering Guidelines

• Orders can be placed through the contact form on the website, by email, post or telephone. In order to avoid communication errors we strongly recommend that orders be placed in writing via our website or email. We guarantee the accuracy of written orders, however, we accept no responsibility for errors as a result of verbal miscommunication.
• We pride ourselves on the speed of our service. Orders are processed the same day they are received. We cannot guarantee dispatch times in situations affected by circumstances beyond our control.
• International orders will need to be confirmed before the order is processed and payment received by us before the order is processed and dispatch is made.
• Price commitment is made on the placement of order only. We endeavor to ensure accurate pricing on both our catalogue and website. We will do our best to notify our customers of discrepancies due to changes in prices.
• Whilst we do not impose minimum order quantities, bulk order discounts will be at our own discretion.
• If any item is short delivered and has been charged for, Stitchworks will be more than happy to cover the cost of freight in resending the goods as soon as possible.
• We offer same day Pick Ups. Please provide a few hours notice before the time of collection so that your order can be invoiced, picked, packed and ready for pick up at the time of your arrival. Pick Up hours are between 9.00am & 5.00pm. top

Payment Method

• All orders must be paid for within 7 days of being received by the customer.
• Unless otherwise agreed, payment must be received within 7 days of customer receipt, by the selected payment method.
• We accept Eftpos, MasterCard, Visa, Cheque, Electronic banking transfer and cash. We also accept Direct Deposits.
• Cheques are to be made out to Stitchworks. Please record your order reference number and business name on the back of the cheque. When paying via electronic bank transfer (internet banking) please include the Invoice Number as a reference on the transaction.
• If your credit card is declined by your financial institution, Stitchworks will not be able to guarantee delivery on the date or in the delivery window you selected and may contact you to make alternative delivery and payment arrangements.
• Stitchworks may decline to accept payment from you by credit card for any reason, and is not required to give reasons.
• All prices are quoted in NZ$.
• For orders within New Zealand, all prices include GST. GST is applied to orders on taxable items including freight.
• International orders do not incur GST, however, there may be import duties and taxes applicable to the destination of shipment that Stitchworks cannot be responsible for. If you have questions about these taxes please contact your local customs office.
• Prices quoted do not include shipping and transportation costs. Shipping costs will be calculated once you reach checkout.
• The purchase price of the goods as shown on the product list is the purchase price that is applicable at the time you view it. Goods in your order are charged at the purchase price applicable at the time you submit your order and as shown on the order confirmation, except:
  • If an item is out of stock, in which case you will not be charged for that good;
  • If you have given instruction that you will accept substitute goods, in which case the substitute good will be charged at the applicable purchase price at the time the substitute goods are processed and scanned for your order; and
  • When your order is placed, Stitchworks will provide you with a tax invoice specifying the total price for the goods, including freight and any applicable credit card/Bank charges. top

  Cancellations

  • International orders CANNOT be cancelled after dispatch.
  • Orders within New Zealand can be completely cancelled up until the point of dispatch. Returns/Refunds can be made after dispatch. top

  Shipping

  • After payment has been cleared, products will arrive according to postal/courier delivery deadlines, unless express delivery is preferred in which case an additional fee will be added. If you require express delivery please contact us directly.
  • Some countries must use the express courier service.
  • Stitchworks cannot be held responsible for delays in delivery outside their control.
  • Stitchworks has accounts with several major courier companies and the New Zealand Postal Service.
  • Freight calculation is based on weight, volume and destination. Freight quotes before processing orders can be provided if requested at the time the order is placed.
  • Stitchworks does not charge handling or packing fees unless special legal or specification documents are requested.
  • All orders must be checked and lodged within 7 days of receipt and any claims, errors, or discrepancies must be reported immediately.
  • International shipping may require legal documents for export purposes. Please check with your local shipping agent or customs agent. Goods being held, stored, or penalties incurred in processing International orders will be passed on to the buyer/importer before the order is dispatched.
  • Where you believe that an item, which was ordered by you and which was in stock, has not been delivered and you wish to report the non-delivery or claim a credit for the value of that item, you must notify Stitchworks of the non-delivery as soon as possible. top

  Out of Stock and Substitution

  Stitchworks will use its best endeavours to ensure that all goods ordered by you (and any agreed substitutes) are supplied to you. Stitchworks reserves the right to limit the sale of goods to reasonable or normal consumer quantities. In the unlikely event of stock shortages, Stitchworks will make good the order as quickly as possible. top

  Returns and Replacements

  • Any discrepancies must be reported within 7 days of receiving your order. Any discrepancies with your order will be logged in our system for quick reference so that we can better manage your account.
  • If a return or refund is necessary, this must fall within 2 months of the date of the invoice. Returns will not be accepted beyond 2 months.
  • It may be necessary for clients to return goods, in which case, reimbursement of return freight costs will be included in refund/credit (only if the error is on Stitchworks behalf). International returns can also be accepted for being faulty, damaged, or exchanged. Please ensure full tracking details (airway bill or tracking number) are provided in order to monitor the speed of the parcel being sent back.
  • If an error has been made by Stitchworks with regards to a written order, either invoicing or packing, we will pay for return shipment.
  • Errors made by clients when placing their order can be returned if reported within 7 days and products are unopened. This includes change of mind returns also. Goods must arrive in re-saleable condition. Return freight will be at customer’s expense.
  • Goods must be re-packed carefully for return and the package must include your invoice number, name, contact information as well as why the goods are being returned and whether you require a credit or a replacement. top
