Welcome to Stitchworks.

Dave and I have owned Stitchworks since January 2016. I retired in 2017 so Dave and I give our full attention to Stitchworks.

I have been patch working since the 1970s and really love it. I bought a Qnique 14+ quilting machine from Jenny Allen at Quiltique and quilt all of my own quilts. Recently I have upgraded to the Qnique 19+ which gives me more quilting area to work in. I also do a lot of hand quilting.

Stitchworks is located at our home in Taumarunui. 46 East St. We are easily found on google maps.

Stitchworks is mainly an on-line business but we are open by appointment. If you visit and we are out just ring us we may not be far away. 027 688 0033.

We stock Glide thread ( about 375 colours) from the USA. This is a very versatile thread. It looks wonderful for quilting. It has a lovely sheen and strong which lends itself to machine embroidery. It is used for piecing patchworks and ordinary sewing. We also stock over 190 wide backing fabrics, batting and notions.  We have everything you need to finish your quilt. We do not stock the 45" width quilting fabric. All of our wide backing fabrics are 100% cotton.
